retrieve data from this device. Data can be stored on this very quickly
and has a storage
capacity over 6 gigabytes.

| Hard Drive | This
device is built into your computer. It can store data and data can
be retrieved from it at very high speeds. Most importantly, it holds
the software, the
operating system, that enables your computer to understand what
you want it to do. When you buy a new piece of software, and "install"
the software, the hard drive is the place the software is stored
until you want to use it. It's
storage capacities can range from 20 gigabytes to 400 gigabytes.

| USB Flash Drive | This
is the newest, at this time, in portabledata storage devices. This
is used simply by plugging it into the USB port  of
your computer and saving or retrieving information from it. These
come in different capacities ranging rom 64 megs to 1 gigabyte. |

device is either built-in or connected to your computer with a cord.
 It
enables your computer to send and receive data over telephone lines.
