Introduction to the History of Computers

It's the nature of things that student's simply take for granted the appliances, devices and communication tools in our school and home. This unit has great importance in that it focuses on the fact that counting machines are a recent occurrence in the history of human beings. The explosion of electronic devices that have changed the way we work and communicate has essentially only happen within the last fifty years. It's important to understand the development of the computer because it predicts how the development of technology will take place in the future. More importantly, it may give a clue on how our lives will be changed by the landslide of technology that is happening in our country.
