Putting it all Together

The steps that you have used to create a lead paragraph, detail sentences and a conclusion now pay off. To create your rough draft start by putting the school heading on your paper. Under the heading, write down your lead paragraph.

Under the lead paragraph, write the detail sentences one after another, in a sequence that makes sense to the story.

Finally, after your detail sentences, write your conclusion. You know have your rough draft !

The next step will be to type your rough draft into a word processing program. This will make it easy to revise and edit your report.
